Many know that Google has a plethora of operators to help perform interesting searches (see links below), but one I want to point out because it's so helpful is the "movie:" operator. With it, you can provide either a zipcode or city (and/or movie name) to find the local theaters and showtimes for movies. Great when you're visiting friends (as at the holidays) and don't have a newspaper handy. Also faster (so much faster) than the interfaces of many movie sites.
I'm staying with family in annapolis, and "movie: annapolis" quickly showed what's playing and where, including links to reviews from reputable media outlets. Very cool.
